The Office for National Statistics (ONS) will be hosting its second Economic Forum on Thursday 10 July from 9.30am-12.30pm at Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge, SE1 9DA
The ONS Economic Forum is scheduled to be a regular, quarterly event aimed at City analysts, business economists, media, and academic users, to provide an opportunity to discuss issues relating to the measurement of the economy and the range of ONS economic statistics that reflect this, including GDP, the labour market, prices and the public finances.
The agenda will follow the format of:
- What’s new? - looking at the picture that recent economic statistics are portraying
- What’s next? - upcoming developments to economic statistics, including the latest information on changes that will come with Blue Book 2014. A summary of the main changes is available here
- A focus on a topical issue in economic statistics - further details to follow.
Please RSVP to economic.forum@ons.gov.uk , along with details of any accessibility requirements. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The ONS is keen to tailor its Economic Forum agenda to the issues that are of most interest to you.
