The Society’s annual conference brings together members and expert speakers for an informed, lively and enjoyable discussion of key issues affecting both the global and UK macro-economic and business environment. Attracting some of the world’s most renown economic experts, the Conference gives attendees a great opportunity to hear first-hand about some of the key policy issues of the day.
The Conference typically comprises a range of speakers, from senior central bank and government policy officials, to noted economists from independent think tanks, to high-profile financial market economists. In recent years, key speakers have included Governor Lael Brainar, Sir Dave Ramsden, Sir Charlie Bean, Ben Broadbent, Robert Chote, Gavyn Davis and Jim O’Neill, to name but a few.
Apart from hearing from the speakers, the Conference also provides a great opportunity for members to network over lunch with other industry professionals.
