Ever wondered what it’s like to work in one of the world’s largest banks? Or what it is like to work at the heart of government?  The SPE is delighted to invite you to an evening of insight and fun where you hear about careers in economics from recent graduates. This event is designed for our SPE student members.
 
The event will be hosted by Catherine Connolly and our expert speakers include:

Ryan Harding is a Senior Economics Consultant at ICF with 6 years’ experience providing insights for both public sector clients across a range of different policy areas and private sector clients. As part of his current role, he utilises mixed method analytical techniques to access information and bring this together to communicate findings clearly and effectively. He has previously worked at RSM UK and Oracle NetSuite and holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Exeter along with an MSc in Economics and Development from the University of Oxford.

Amanda Kay is Head of Global and Cross Cutting Risks, Financial Stability Group, HM Treasury. Amanda has five years of experience working in the Department across both their London and Darlington based offices. Throughout her career, she has worked on a variety of topics including GDP and Inflation, and Financial Stability – and witnessed the Department’s response to events including the Covid pandemic and the failure of Silicon Valley Bank.

Amy Muraszko is Assistant Economist at HM Treasury. Amy graduated from the University of Exeter in 2023 with a BSc degree in Economics with Industrial Experience, including a placement year at HM Treasury.

George Moran is a European economist and strategist at the Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to this he worked for two years in the European Economics team at Nomura. George studied at the University of Cambridge, focusing on economic history and financial markets.
