This year sees strategic policy reviews being conducted at the Bank of England, Federal Reserve and ECB. Richard will discuss:
- Why so many of the world’s major central banks have simultaneously embarked upon this exercise;
- How the outcome of these reviews will shape the conduct of economic policy over the coming decade;
- The concept of policy space; and
- Why, unfortunately, the opportunity to restore policy space is likely to be missed.
Richard is the Head of Macro Research at BNP Paribas Asset Management. In this role, he has responsibilities for forming investment views across all asset classes and coverage of macro and market developments in Europe.
Richard was previously Senior Economist at the Royal Bank of Scotland, covering the Eurozone and UK economies.
