On Tuesday 30 October, Clare Lombardelli and Chris Drane from the HM Treasury, will discuss key aspects of the Chancellor’s budget in this early morning seminar.
Clare Lombardelli is the Chief Economic Advisor to the Treasury and joint head of the Government Economic Service. Clare works to deliver the government’s macroeconomic objectives, promoting sustainable economic growth and setting and implementing fiscal policy. She has management responsibility for the Economics and Fiscal areas in the Treasury and jointly leads the professional body for economists in the public sector.
Chris Drane is the Deputy Director of the Fiscal Statistics and Policy team in HM Treasury. The team is responsible for producing the monthly public sector finances statistics - jointly with the ONS - and for providing analysis and advice on the setting of and risks associated with fiscal policy. Prior to joining the Treasury in 2014, Chris worked as a senior economist at both the Department of Work and Pensions and at the Ministry of Justice.
