The global energy landscape is changing. During this lunchtime masterclass, William Zimmern, Head of Global Macroeconomics, BP, will discuss what are the key factors influencing the shift in the energy mix and the pace at which it is changing? What impact will this energy transition have on existing oil, gas and coal markets and what are the implications for pricing, investments and business strategies?
William leads BP’s research on the global economy which is a key component of BP’s analysis of global energy markets and country risk. He leads the analysis on energy transitions and manages the production of BP’s Energy Outlook, the company’s view of the long term global energy market.
Before BP he led PwC’s Macro Consulting practice in London which specialised in macroeconomic advice and economic strategy. Before PwC, William worked in UK Government at the Department for Work and Pensions and HM Treasury.
