This in-person course provides an introduction to evaluation. It will cover three key types of evaluation: Impact, Process and Value for Money evaluation. The main tools used across all three evaluation types will be considered including evaluation planning, Theory of Change, evaluation questions and methods for data collection.

The course will give you a foundation to support you participating in and commissioning evaluation studies. In particular, the course will enable you to:

• gain a solid understanding of evaluation tools, methods and applications,
• develop confidence as an intelligent user of evaluations and build insights into the uses of evaluation,
• be confident in commissioning evaluation and recognise the key differences between evaluation proposals.
