The following entries, listed by author in alphabetical order, have been shortlisted for this year’s Rybczynski Prize:

• Henry Curr What if AI made the world’s economic growth explode?
• Joel Suss and Chris Giles The ‘text as data’ revolution and the value of (financial) news
• Tomasz Wieladek and Justin Thomson An anatomy of tariffs: History, theory, and prognosis

The prize will be announced at the SPE’s Annual Dinner on Monday 17 November with the winner(s) receiving £5,000. All shortlisted essays will be posted on the SPE website after the dinner.
