At last night’s Annual Dinner, the winner of the 2017 Rybczynski Prize was announced and our congratulations go to co-authors Mirko Licchetta and Michal Stelmach from the Office for Budget Responsibility, for winning the £3000 prize. The essay competition is now in its 17th year, and is in memory of the late Tad Rybczynski, an eminent economist and long-served former Chairman of the Society. We are grateful to PwC for kindly sponsoring the Prize, and members can read a copy of the winning essay “Health spending: it’s not just about ageing” in the Reading Room.
