Presenting Data for Economists

How to communicate your message effectively

Speaker: Ed Swires-Hennessy

Venue: Westminster University, 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS

Even economists with advanced econometric skills may neglect the vital importance of descriptive statistics as a form of communication. This one-day course illustrates the essential principles of presenting data in tables, charts, maps and text, equipping participants with the knowledge to disseminate the messages of data in clear, accurate and meaningful ways.

All are illustrated and then reinforced through practical exercises. The day will be a mix of presentation, tuition and syndicate exercises that all reinforce the communication message.

Participants will be equipped to disseminate the messages of data in a clear, accurate and meaningful way across various media to general audiences.
It is not necessary to be mathematical to attend, as no formulae are presented. The course will provide 6 hours of CPD time.

Who should attend?
The course is for anyone who is involved in communicating messages from data – of any description – within organisations, to specific communities and to the general public where a message is being given.

How to register?
The course costs £295 + VAT. Please click here to register and for more details.
