SPE Course: Introduction to R for economists

Speaker: Dr Paul Wohlfarth, Assistant Professor, Solbridge International School of Business

This course introduces R - a popular programming language offering the most comprehensive toolkit available in statistical programming, making it ideal for in-depth data analysis.  The course discusses basic programming techniques and the most useful tools that data analysts can use in their day-to-day work such as directly downloading data from online sources; managing, combining and describing datasets; and working with various tools to analyse cross-sectional, time-series and panel data sets. Presented by Dr Paul Wohlfarth, Assistant Professor, Solbridge International School of Business, this event will be held at Mary Sumner House, 24 Tufton Street, London, SW1P 3RB.
