As usual we open with the first meeting of the new year giving a dual perspective on that ever topical subject - the UK economy. This year we were delighted to welcome Ruth Gregory, Capital Economics and Sanjay Raja, Deutsche Bank.

Ruth Gregory is Capital Economics’ Senior UK Economist. She has over 10 years’ experience analysing the UK economy, having worked as an economist at the CBI, Office for Budget Responsibility and H M Treasury. Ruth regularly presents to clients on the UK economic and financial market outlook and comments on economic developments in the media.

Sanjay Raja is the UK Economist for Deutsche Bank, having joined DB in late 2017. Before that, Sanjay worked as an economic consultant providing economic advice both domestically and internationally from regulation to fiscal/public policy. Sanjay’s main economic interests are in productivity, monetary policy, and the labour market.
