What factors will shape energy markets over the next 20 years? What impact would a slowdown in global economic growth have on energy demand? How could agreements reached at COP21 affect energy consumption?
Join William to discuss BP’s latest Energy Outlook publication. This edition updates our view of the likely path of global energy markets to 2035. We make assumptions on changes in policy, technology and the economy, based on extensive internal and external consultations, using a range of analytical tools to build a “most likely” view and some alternative cases.
William leads BP’s research on the global economy which is a key component of BP’s analysis of global energy markets, risk evaluation and market strategy. Before BP he led PwC’s Macro Consulting practice which specialised in macroeconomic advice and economic strategy for cross sector clients in the public and private sectors. Before PwC William worked in UK government at the Department for Work and Pensions and HM Treasury.
